      We are licensed by the State of Michigan as a long term, acute care hospital. Select Specialty Hospital is not a nursing home or skilled nursing facility. We are a hospital that specializes in treating medically complex, chronically critically ill patients needing longer term hospitalization for ventilator dependence and weaning, complex wounds and infections.
